Great beds, beautiful location, pleasant staff. This hotel is equal to 3 stars.

We really loved a bar in the lobby. The buffet breakfast was the best. Thanks to doorman, who often helped us.
-
The staff was friendly and the food GOOD. Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like Ventana Gourmet Grill that was only 10 minutes' walk away. Smooth check out too. We recommend once again.

We enjoyed a 1st floor suite with beautiful views of the pool and hotel grounds. Very comfortable with modern updates, 2 flat screen TV's and new memory foam matteress that were very comfortable. We used the hot tub and swimming pool even though it wasvery a late Nov. Evening. The restaurant/bar was quiant and good food.
The new "Grotto" area was not finished.

The charm of the old building and the friendliness of the staff made up for what I didn't like about my stay. I did get a free upgrade to make up for the long wait at the front desk. The restaraunt was OUTSTANDING! We didn't have to leave once to find food elsewhere.
There was no toilet paper in the room and we had to request that some be brought up. The ice machine did not work and we had to request that some be brought up. The kitchen hood could not keep up with the cooking smoke and the fire alarm went off. We had to evacuate for a while. My reservation was not in the computer and we had to wait while they tried to find it. It was prepaid and the front desk receptionist said that I had none. It was resolved eventually.
